My Background.

I began my fitness journey 15 years ago. Unaware of proper form and basic program design principles, I went through the motions as most teenagers do. I disregarded other’s advice and exercised as I saw fit. Ignorant to the harm that I was causing my body, I accumulated a plethora of debilitating injuries at a very young age. Enough was enough.

At age eighteen, I matured and took my fitness to the next level. I registered and passed the NASM CPT exam and applied for a personal trainer position at 24 Hour Fitness in Chino Hills, CA. I got the job and trained at that location for three and a half years. I graduated from CSUF in the fall of 2013 with a bachelors and high honors in kinesiology. While pursuing my degree, I developed an unparalleled passion for helping others grow and develop both physically and mentally. My love for fitness and personal training demanded change. In 2014, I left the corporate gym setting, started my own personal training business, and never looked back. In March of 2014, I launched Grizzly Baird Fitness in Chino, Ca. 

As a young and motivated business owner, I wanted to maximize my influence, and positively impact the largest number of people possible. In 2015, I recognized a gap in my education that hindered my professional reach, and went back to school to fill that void. To better understand the interconnectedness between movement mechanics and chronic injuries, I enrolled in Azusa Pacific University's masters of science in athletic training program. I graduated in May 2018 with a 4.0 GPA and a strong base of knowledge in movement proficiency and injury prevention and rehabilitation. With two degrees and multiple certifications under my belt, I am willing and ready to assist you in tackling all of your physical fitness needs. Whether you’re looking for a personal trainer to help you lose weight, gain muscle, or perform better, or a qualified clinician to rehabilitate your chronic knee injury, I am your guy.


MY PHILOSOPHY

Open-mindedness. There are a ton of different personal training and nutrition styles in the fitness world. Contrary to popular belief, not all styles are compatible with all clients. I conduct my personal training business with an open-mind, and understand that not all clients are the same. My personal style takes the backseat to your needs. Together, we will determine which fitness philosophy suits you, your lifestyle, and your capabilities the best.
